The Stephen Taber - Inn on the Harbor

Quaint location in a Harbour town. The deck and seating looking out at the ocean was awesome. Their dog/pet friendly accommodations were fantastic.

Beautiful, quiet spot right on the water. We stayed in the Stephen Tabor (former barber shop on the far end). We liked the extra privacy and small private deck. If you're looking for luxury and major tourist attractions, this is not your spot but if you prefer authentic, quiet and peaceful, this is perfect! We were close enough to Acadia National Park for a wonderful day trip there, and there are lobster boat tours and the mail boat ride out to nearby Isle au Haut. We enjoyed our small deck but also loved meeting other guests on the main deck where we sometimes gathered by the fire table in the evenings. Anything extra we might need was available in the common room and hosts were very responsive and helpful. We loved every minute of our stay at Inn on the Harbor!

Great place to stay and explore Northern Maine. Location is perfect for day trips around the area.

This room had a private balcony with a table, 2 chairs and a rocking chair overlooking Stonington Harbour. When the tide was up, the water was underneath our balcony. Very nice views of the outer islands. The room was comfortable and nicely equipped. The town is very small, walkable and quiet. We found a couple of good restaurants for lunch and dinner and a great coffee shop down the street with fresh baked items and specialty coffees. Really nice place to explore.
